We confirm the exact timing with you the day before. Keys change hands on a walk-around, and back again when we return your car. Special cases: a different pick-up and drop-off time can be arranged, just ask.

Why it matters here

A Wellington car is not a Hamilton car

Harbour salt spray settles on your paint every southerly. Wind-blown sand gets into carpets. Humidity grows mould in door seals and air conditioning. And that's before the dog.

A $25 wash does nothing about any of it. So we start with what's actually on your car and use the products and methods that suit it — the right pad, dilution and dwell time for your paint, your seats and your trim.

The awkward jobs

These are the two reasons people call us and the two jobs most washes turn down.

Pet hair removal

Clagged into carpet pile and seat fabric, normal vacuums just polish it. We work it out with rubber and air tools, then extract, then shampoo — the whole cabin, not just the back seat where the dog actually sat. Everyday shedding goes with a Full Detail; heavy or long-standing hair is quoted on application, and we'll tell you before we start if yours is a two-hour job.

Smell removal

Smoke, vomit, wet dog, mould, bait in the boot. Masking it with a pine tree does nothing. We remove the source, clean and treat the HVAC path and fabric, then neutralise the air with an ozone or vapour treatment. It's a listed service, not a maybe: $402.50 for either vehicle class, and the car is aired properly before it comes back to you.

Wellington detail: mould and mildew come back fast if a car sits damp. We dry the interior, the carpets and the vents before the doors close.

How it works

You don't have to go anywhere

  1. Book a time

    Call, email or use the booking form. Tell us the vehicle and what's bothering you. We'll confirm the price before we take the keys.

  2. We collect it

    Free pick-up from your home or workplace, anywhere in Wellington, Porirua or the Hutt Valley. We walk around the car with you and note anything already there.

  3. We detail it

    Interior and exterior work to the service you chose. If we find something that needs more than we quoted, we ring you first — never a surprise charge.

  4. We bring it back

    Returned to the same spot, keys handed back, and we show you what we did. Payment by bank transfer.

What comes back off the run

No stock photography. Every frame here is a job from one of our own pick‑up runs — drag each divider to compare before and after, or select a job title to open the larger photo. A frame marked “photo to come” is a shot we are still waiting on, and it fills itself in the day the photo lands.

Water restrictions

Wellington moves to seasonal water restrictions at the start of daylight saving each year. We work within the current level — low-flow and bucket methods, and we never leave a hose running. How we comply →

Runoff

Wash water carries detergents and heavy metals, and it must not reach the stormwater network — ours goes to grass, containment or the wastewater connection, not the gutter.

Your consumer rights

Services are carried out with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Guarantees Act. If something isn't right, we put it right. All prices include GST.

How long will you have my car?

A full detail is usually 5–6 hours, an interior or exterior detail 1.5 hours, plus travel at each end of the run. If your car needs more time — heavy pet hair or mould — we'll tell you when we quote, not when you're waiting.

Who drives my car?

One of our groomers, on our own insurance, and only between your address and our workshop. We record the odometer and walk around the car with you before the keys change hands, and we log the keys in and out.

What if the mess is worse than expected?

We stop and call you. Nothing gets added to the price without your say-so — heavy soiling, mould and biohazard work is always quoted first.

Do you use a lot of water?

Less than a driveway wash. We use low-flow hand washing, controlled rinse and waterless techniques on interiors, and we follow Wellington Water's current restriction level.

How do I pay?

Pay by bank transfer when we return the car. All prices include GST and we can provide an invoice on request.
